MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ASSESSORS

JUNE 18, 2018

Members Present: Rosemary Scully, James Dillon, Robert Fitzgerald 

1.  Acceptance of Minutes: approve the minutes of the May 21, 2018 meeting.

 

2. Fiscal Year 2019 Values:

             Mike Tarello will be here on July 11th to continue analysis for setting fy19 values.

             Sandra Schmucki completed entering I&E data June 12-14th.

             RRC: Michael Martin was in Holden conducting discovery and inspections the  

                        week of June 11-15th.

 3.  White Oak Land Conservation property – South Street:

Board voted to accept the application by the White Oak Land Conservation for a vacant parcel acquired on April 11, 2018 on South Road (map 193/9) to be exempt.

 4.  SummitWynds: 69 Summit Street:  application to change from 61B to 61A. 

         Rose met with Amy Parker on June 7, 2018 to review application and property use.

         Board approved change to 61A. 

5.  Motor Vehicle Excise:

         Latest commitment was issued on June 12th: 2018: 888 bills, 2017: 1 bill

6. Preliminary Real Estate Tax Bills

The preliminary tax bills have been generated and will be issued by the Tax Collectors office at the end of the month.  Real Estate: 8,504 bills Personal Property: 379 bills

7. Part time Assessor Clerk/Data Collector Position:

Applications are being reviewed by the Town Managers Office.  Interviews will begin in July.                          

8. Revised and Omitted Tax: 

             FY19: there were none to report. Chapter Land Roll Back to report  

9. Cyclical Inspections:

Scott has continued working primarily in the neighborhoods off Shrewsbury St.

He will be working on building permits also for the next month.

    Meeting adjourned 8:30am.  Meeting scheduled for July 30, 8am.
