HOLDEN BOARD OF SELECTMEN

MEETING MINUTES

November 21, 2016

6:00PM                                                                                               Memorial Hall

 

Present: Tim Ethier, Jeremy Kurtz (6:10), Erik Scheinfeldt

 

Not Present:  Chairman Anthony Renzoni, Geri Herlihy

 

Others Present:            Jacquelyn Kelly, Town Manager

                                    Liz Fotos, Town Recorder

 

Sel. Ethier thanked three candidates for coming out and for their interest in the Historic District Commission.

 

Patrick Perkins stated that he was raised in Connecticut and is now the Director at St. Francis Church.  He is interested in history, is an amateur genealogist, and was interested in historic preservation and that is why this committee interested him.

 

Matt Vajda stated that he was a resident of Holden since 2003 and had earned his bachelors and masters in history and was applying for a doctorate.  He stated that historical preservation and local history interest him. 

 

Joseph Clancy, Jr. stated that he had lived here since 1970 and his family had owned properties since the 1950’s.  He stated that he had seen a lot of changes over the years and was interested in history and wanted to give something back to the town now that he was retired.  He stated he would like to see the town stay where it is now.

 

Sel. Kurtz entered the meeting.

 

Sel. Kurtz thanked the candidates for stepping forward.  He stated that the town is made great by its volunteers and that the Selectmen appreciate their efforts.  He stated that he looks forward to hearing from them and any time they wish to come into a Board meeting the Selectboard would love to have them.

 

Sel. Ethier stated that the appointments would be voted on during the Regular Meeting and he was confident that they would be appointed.  He thanked them for their time and interest.

 

The Board moved to the regularly scheduled meeting at 6:30PM.
