Minutes Holden Finance Committee November 8, 2017, HMLD

Members Present: Dave White, Paul Challenger, Al Berg, Karl Makela, John Lambert, Chris Lucchesi, Marilynn Foley

Member Absent: Joe Dolak

Also Present: Town Manager Peter Lukes The meeting was called to order at 6:35.

The Committee met to discuss 18 Industrial Drive. It has been decided that the cost to rehabilitate the existing building would be greater that erecting a new building. To that end it has been suggested that the IIF fund could be used for demolition and site preparation to start with a clean slate for use of that site.

Also Present: DPW Study Committee, IIF Board of Directors, Members of the BOS joined the meeting

The DPW Study Committee talked about the cost of demolition hazards material abatement and a building to meet the future needs of the town.

A motion by Paul 2nd by Karl to vote to use the remaining funds in the IIF Trust Fund for demolition and abatement at 18 Industrial Drive was voted unanimously.

A motion by Chris 2nd by Al the Finance Committee support the use if the IIF funds and funds from the General Stabilization Fund $200,000.00-$400,000.00 and endorse the release of the funds to be used as directed was voted unanimously.

A motion by Chris 2nd by Marilynn to release an amount not to exceed $375,000.00 from the Stabilization Fund was voted unanimously.

The meeting adjourned at 7:45.
