Recreation

-A A +A

The Holden Recreation Department provides exceptional and creative programs, services and facilities (such as town pool, ball fields and playgrounds) that foster community spirit and involvement while enhancing the quality of life for people of all ages in Holden.  Recreation Department staff host a number of programs throughout the year, all of which are announced and listed on this page.

Holden Recreation headquarters has moved to 1420 Main Street.  We look forward to hosting more activities in our new space (formerly the Holden Police Station).

HOLDEN POOL HOURS:

The Holden pool is now closed for the season.

REGISTRATION FOR SUMMER PROGRAMS AT

HOLDEN POOL AREA

Registration for all activities being offered at the pool this summer will be available ON-LINE ONLY at Holdenrec.com.

Recreation passes MUST be purchased in order to register for any classes. Resident passes can be purchased on-line or at the Recreation office (Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.).   Non-resident passes can be purchased in the Recreation office with cash or money order only.

Non-resident participation in the summer programs and classes will be available to those who did not purchase a season pass. The cost of the classes will be double what resident and non-resident season pass holders are charged. You will have to go to the Recreation office (located at 1420 Main St., Holden) to register your child for any of the classes or programs. This is a cash only transaction. If you wish to stay at the facility after the classes, you would need to purchase a day pass to re-enter the pool area. Non-resident day passes are $10 per person.

If you have any questions, please call the Recreation office at (508) 829-0263.

RECREATION PASSES FOR THE 2017 SUMMER SEASON

Recreation passes are required for admission to the pool, Eagle Lake, tennis courts, and to participate in all instructional programs at the Dawson Recreation area.

Resident passes may be purchased on-line or in the Recreation Office at 1420 Main St., Holden (weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). Proof of residency is required for resident passes. If you purchase your passes on-line, please bring your receipt and identification to the office to pick up your passes. The cost is $28 per person, with a maximum family fee of $93. They would need their own resident or non-resident passes.

Holden senior passes (age 65 or older) are $18 per person.

A limited number of non-resident passes are available for $156 each, payable with cash or money order only, and must be purchased at the Recreation Office. Non-resident passes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and are not available on-line.

Please call the Recreation office at (508) 829-0263 with questions.
