June 25, 2018

Call to order

Daniel Nason called to order the regular meeting of the Holden Department of Public Works Facility Committee (DPW FC) at 7: 00 PM on June 25, 2018 at Holden Municipal Light Department, 1 Holden Street, Holden, MA.

1. Public Comment

2. Building Committee Chair

Dan Nason introduced Selectman Tyler Gibbs. He will be part of the Sub-Committee working on outreach.

b. Discuss community outreach

3. OPM Update

Gary Kaczmarek reported that the hazmat bid documents are available through Universal Environmental. Peter Lukes/ Gary Kaczmarek are going to meet Wednesday morning for BUD. Meeting with DEP was well to discuss BUD. No “project” so have to determine where material will go.

7/2/18 voluntary site visit for bidders – Pre-bid.

7/18/18 – Bid Opening – Gary needs to check date.

 

Jim Kempton made a motion to add $3,231.20 to the A/P Schedule for payment. Jack Cross seconded the motion. Vote approved by majority vote. 

 

4. Designer Update (W&S)

Weston and Sampson showed a Power Point presentation. Made edits with the input from the Committee.

Need value of equipment to be stored at the new facility.

Jeff Alberti will send out new version to Gary Kaczmarek and Dan Nason once edits are made.

 

2b. Revisited - Discuss community outreach

Gary Kaczmarek and Dan Nason will coordinate where and when they will show the presentation. The first meeting of the Subcommittee will be the week after July 4, 2018.

July 9, 2018 at Holden Municipal Light Department, 1 Holden Street, Holden, MA at 7:00pm.

               

Mark Johnson made a motion to adjourn.   Jack Cross seconded the motion. Vote approved by majority vote.  Meeting adjourned at 8:00  pm.
