Library : Adult Beginner Guitar Class Starts

Series starts - Adult Beginner Guitar Class
 
This series of Introductory Guitar Classes is for the TRUE beginner. 
 
We will cover the basics, giving you just enough skills to play some familiar 2, 3, and 4-chord songs.
 
You will learn:
 
• The names of the strings
• How to tune your guitar
• Rhythmic strumming and picking patterns
• Basic chords and how to find them
• How to find a chord progression in a song
• To perform a song to impress your friends and family
 
The series will meet on five Wednesday evenings from
6:30 - 7:30 p.m.:  Mar. 13, Mar. 20, Mar. 27, Apr 3, and Apr 10. 
 
Participants must supply their own 6-string guitar,
a guitar pick, a tuner (or phone app for tuning) and a 3-ring binder.
 
Registration required:  Limited to 8 participants

Susan Warren, MT-BC, is a Holden resident, a Board Certified Music Therapist, singer, songwriter, worship leader, and children's performer.  She loves teaching others and helping to bring out the music in all of us.
