Description
In this beautiful, comfortable, and fully accessible building you will find a broad range of library materials and services. These are supplemented through the resources of libraries within the state by interlibrary loan, and across the nation by computer networking.
The library's reference services offer full research assistance with the philosophy that "there are no stupid questions." The professionally-trained staff use in-house materials (reference books and electronic resources) as well as the resources of libraries around the world to answer all kinds of questions. Interlibrary loan services deliver books, DVDs and audio books directly to the Gale Free Library, and patrons can also freely use the resources of any public library within the state.
The Children's Room introduces children to a love of reading and to the library as a source of information and help. In addition to books of all kinds there are special magazines and DVDs. The staff is ever ready to suggest a "good book" or help start a homework project. Storytimes, film and craft programs, book discussion groups, and summer reading clubs are an important part of a very active children's program.
The staff is eager to assist you, and they, and the Trustees, welcome your suggestions.
