Death Certificate

The Holden Town Clerk issues certified copies of death records if the death occurred in Holden, MA or for Holden residents who passed away in any other Massachusetts city or town. If uncertain whether a death record is filed in Holden, call the office for confirmation at 508-210-5530 before ordering online. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday; 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesdays;  8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Fridays Eastern Standard/Daylight Time. Certified copies are $10.00 per copy. Generally, requests received by 3:00 p.m. will be mailed the same day or the following business day if the order is placed on a holiday or weekend. Payment may be made online by checking account or credit card.

Copies are also available in person at the Town Clerks Office, Town Hall, 1196 Main Street during office hours or via US Mail. Check the Clerk web page for more details.
