  1. OPM Report:  Gary Kaczmarek gave a construction update. The school move-in went very well. Traffic flow was good. There was a police detail the 1st week and 2 days after vacation week. There were no complaints about using Mt. View Drive. The technology worked with just a few glitches. Training continues. The punchlist is going well. They are finally getting the roof edge on the building. KMD & CTI will be back tomorrow and Thursday to program the air handlers. Busy Bee is doing the irrigation in the ball fields. The infield of the softball field has been laid. The landscapers came back to plant the shrubbery and spread the mulch. Their warranty started Monday.

The abatement for Phase 2 work was started on time. They are working on the 1985 wing. Windows and doors have been removed and walls have been opened up to check for asbestos. They will be moving to the bridge between the wings. They have decommissioned the elevator to bring materials down from the third floor. They are setting up containment in the 1967 building where most of the asbestos is. We do not foresee any problems with the schedule. It should take 6-8 weeks to do total mediation. We are in the process of getting numbers for the level spreader for the previous breach. Cutting and capping of the rest of the utilities will be soon. The oil tank has yet to be drained. That is up to the demo contractor. Infrared testing was conducted tonight to see weakness in the envelope. Jim Robinson feels the PV array system is not working to capacity. May is the optimal month to get a true reading. Paul Challenger stated he has gotten positive feedback on the school.  Dave White said the one complaint he has gotten is that the lockers and hallways are not big enough. Change Order #11 includes flooring adhesive. That is a betterment to project. It also includes the platform stair, elevator generator operation and fin tube in the nurse’s office. The budget cost report is the same as the last one. We are in very good shape.

  1. LPA Update: Bill Senecal reported the punch list is very extensive. Some of the work will go into the summer. The punchlist will be monetized x’s three and is continually being updated.  At this time, there is $1.5 million in punchlist items. He is not worried. They are staying on top of it. One of the bigger issues is the door sweeps binding and some of the doors are the wrong color. This work is to be done over the summer. Mike Pagano commented on the unusual phasing of the building while there is still work to be done. The problem is we had to do a punchlist before completion and the form of substantial completion starts the warranty. It does not include the punchlist items. He will continue to monitor.

  1. Misc: Paul commented that next week is town meeting and Dave will do an update. Gary commented the first voting in the new school went well.

Next Meeting:  Tuesday June 14, 2016, 7:00 pm, HMLD Meeting Room

With no other business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 8:00.
