Faye reported that the Friends deposited $3,600.00 from the proceeds of the Fair on November 1st.  Funds are still coming in.  Some members were disappointed that the turn out was not as good as in past years.  They will be having a follow-up meeting to discuss the Fair.

The Friends are in the process of forming a committee to determine the direction that the Friends should be going.  They asked if there is anyone on the council that would be willing to be on the committee.  They will start with a brainstorming meeting and will go from there.  Rebecca Tornblom volunteered.

The flyers have gone out in the electric bills and donations have started coming in.  Donations have totaled $2,500.00, so far, and disbursements total $2,900.00.  Jim plans to put a blurb in the February and March electric bills.  Someone will also go before the selectmen’s meeting.

CAPITAL BUDGET

Louise had completed our capital budget plan for the next five years.  She did make some changes in that she put the remaining items from last year in a different order of importance.  Next fiscal year we will be replacing the stove/oven/griddle unit and the dishwasher.  Both pieces of equipment are showing signs of wear and have been repaired on more than one occasion.

Following years are earmarked for:  replacement of the carpeting; replacing the town van; replacing three (3) of six (6) exterior air conditioning units plus interior coils; and lastly replacing the remaining three (3) exterior air conditioning units plus interior coils.

NEW VAN DRIVER

We have hired a new van driver to drive the town van on Thursdays and Fridays and to fill in as needed.  His name is Robert Giannotti.  He lives in Rutland and has spent his career as a member and officer of the Woburn Police Department.  He started training yesterday.  We are more than happy to add him to our staff.
