Minutes Holden Finance Committee, June 29, 2020, WRHS
Annual Town Meeting
Members Present: Paul Challenger, Dave White, Joe Dolak, John Lambert, Chris Lucchesi, Don Graves, Stephanie Adams, Marilynn Foley
Member Absent: Jane Titcomb
Also Present: John Woodsmall, DPW Director
The meeting was called to order at 6:10 P.M.
John Woodsmall, DPW Director addressed the Committee concerning Article 21 on the Town Meeting Warrant. A motion by Joe 2nd by John to approve the transfer of $51,052.52 of previously approved, but now unexpended funds from the Capital Fund to the DPW Depreciation Fund was voted in favor 7-1 (opposed Dave).
The Committee was advised that because the trial of the case against the City of Worcester has been postponed until next year the W/S Fund will show a bigger balance in its annual budget. The funds for the trial are authorized to be spent in the next year. The revised W/S budget is $8,388,419.00.
A motion by Don 2nd by Joe to transfer $45,000.00 from the W/S Enterprise Fund to the OPEB Fund was voted unanimously.
A motion by Joe 2nd by Don to approve the minutes of June 3, 2020 were voted unanimously (abstained Dave).
The Committee will to meet in September for reorganization and to discuss the past year and new items for F/Y 2022.
The Committee recessed at 6:35 to attend the Annual Town Meeting.
The Annual Town Meeting adjourned at 9:35.
