                                   Minutes Holden Finance Committee, February 21, 2018, HMLD

Members  Present: Dave White, Paul Challenger, Al Berg, Karl Makala, John Lambert, Chris Lusshesi, Don Graves, Marilynn Foley

Member Absent: Joe Dolak

Also Present: Peter Lukes, Town Manager, Stephanie Bacon, Asst. Town Manager, Dave Armstrong, Police Chief, 3 Offices, Pam Harding, Planning and Development Head, Tim Ethier, Selectman

The meeting was called to order at 7:05.

There was discussion about the increase in the WRSD Budget, $2,000,000.00 over last year which is a 7% increase.

Chief Armstrong reviewed the Police Dept.  Budget. He stated it was a lean budget and level funded.   The population of Holden is growing and he is developing a 5-10 year staffing plan. Regional Dispatch is seeking to add a fourth town which would be a savings for Holden. Dave answered questions from the Committee.

Pam Harding reviewed the Planning and Development Budget an answered Questions from the Committee.

The Sealer of Weights and Measure, the Inspection Revolving Fund, and Solid Waste Enterprise Fund Budgets were also reviewed.

The meeting adjourned at 8:55.
