The Town of Holden will receive sealed bids for APPLICATION OF TURF FIELD TREATMENTS FOR VARIOUS FIELDS until Friday, April 2, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in the office of the Town Manager, 1204 Main Street, Holden, Massachusetts 01520.

* Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and to maintain the health and safety of Town employees and
the public, the Town of Holden buildings are closed to the public. The following information

If Town offices are open to the public on the date of this bid opening, the virtual bid opening will be cancelled and replaced by an in-person bid opening, held in the office of the Town Manager. 
 
The bid form and specifications for the work may be obtained from the Town of Holden’s electronic bid system, found at https://www.holdenma.gov/bids. The forms and specifications are listed under “Bids for Application of Turf Field Treatments for Various Fields-DPW 21-1”.  Register using the form found at the link for this project, as this will ensure you automatically receive any associated addendums. Once completed, you will then be able to view the Bid.  Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “Bid for Application of Turf Field Treatments for Various Fields”.

This project is being bid under the provisions of M.G.L. c. 30B § 5. The intent is to award a one (1) year contract, renewable twice annually for a total possible contract length of three (3) years, to the most responsible and responsive bidder offering the best price. 
 
A pre-bid site walk of the fields to be treated will begin on Friday, March 26, 2021 at 9:00 AM at the Mountview Middle School football field, at 270 Shrewsbury Street, Holden, MA 01520, and then progress to the other fields, rain or shine. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all attendees of the pre-bid site visit are required to wear face masks and follow social distancing protocols when on Town property.

All bids shall remain in effect for thirty (30) days after the submittal date. Facsimiles and electronic mail submission are not acceptable. The Town Manger reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities in the bid procedures, or to accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the Town of Holden.
