Main Street Resurfacing Project

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) will be resurfacing Main Street (Route 122A) this year.  The Main St. drainage project, between the Boyden intersections, will resume in March of this year.  Following the completion of the drainage work, the resurfacing will begin.  Main Street will be milled and paved from Maple Street to the jug handle intersection of Shrewsbury Street.  MassDOT has prepared preliminary plans showing the proposed pavement markings.  A copy of the plan can be downloaded below.  The changes to the pavement markings include 11' lanes with buffered bike lanes on both sides of the road.  Sidewalk repairs along the project limits will be included.  Please note that this is a MassDOT project and any questions and concerns can be addressed to the District 3 Headquarters in Worcester, 857-368-3000.
