Shared Street and Spaces Grant - Dawson School and Holden Pool Complex

Under the MassDOT's Shared Streets and Spaces program, the Holden Department of Public Works was awarded funding to construct new crosswalk locations and upgrade the existing crosswalk locations at the Dawson School and Holden Pool Complex area.  The crosswalk construction and improvements involved the replacement/installation of new ADA compliant wheelchair ramps.  The project also included the installation of two school zone speed limit signs and a rectangular rapid flashing beacon (RRFB) crosswalk sign at the Holden Pool crosswalk.  This work was completed in early November of 2020.

Additional RRFBs will be installed at four other locations in Town, including Mountview Middle School, Dawson School, Mayo School and at the intersection of Reservoir St. and Avery Rd.
