Western States Water Main Replacement Project

The Water & Sewer Division is beginning Phase 1 of a three phase construction project to replace the water mains in the “Western States” neighborhood and on Shrewsbury Street from Arizona Avenue to the West Boylston Town Line. Phase 1 includes replacing the water main in Arizona Avenue as well as in Wyoming Drive from Arizona Avenue to Montana Drive.  The Contractor performing the work is N. Cibotti from Braintree Massachusetts.  Construction is expected to begin the week of September 14^th and is projected to be completed by the end of the year, barring any weather or construction delays. Notifications due to water main shutdowns will be broadcast using the Town’s CodeRED system and hand delivered letters.

Design is underway for phase 2 and 3, with expected construction start of phase 2 in July of 2021.
