ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS

HEARING

G & V HOLDEN REAL ESTATE                                                                          CASE NO. V 1508

The Zoning Board of Appeals held a public hearing on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 7:45 p.m. in Memorial Hall in the Town Hall on the Petition of G & V Real Estate for property located at 411 North Street for a VARIANCE for relief from front yard setback requirements for an addition.

Members in attendance:  R. Spakauskas, R. Fraser, J. Deignan, F. Lonardo and R. Butler.

R. Fraser made a motion to waive the reading of the application and Findings of Fact.  The Board unanimously agreed.

Mr. Samuel Rosario, President of Liberty Construction, representing the applicant, addressed the Board.  The applicant plans to move his family into the house, but it needs to be modernized.

F. Lonardo said it appears from the plan that was submitted with the application, the proposed additions are further back from the main house.  Mr. Rosario said yes, that is the intent.

R. Spakauskas asked if the riding stables would still be in operation.  It was answered yes, they plan to have about 28 horses.

Since there were no further comments or questions, the public hearing was closed at 8:05 p.m.

The Board unanimously voted 5-0 to approve the variance application with the following conditions:  1)  The front street side corners of the additions must be staked by a registered land surveyor no closer to the front setback +/- one foot;  2)  The additions shall be no closer than 21 feet +/- one foot to the front setback.
