ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS HEARING


 

STACY REPAIR, LLC                                                                                            CASE NO. SP 1311

 

The Zoning Board of Appeals held a public hearing on November 14, 2013 at 7:15 p.m. in Memorial Hall in the Town Hall, 1196 Main Street, Holden, MA on the Application of Stacy Repair, LLC for property located at 752 Main Street for a SPECIAL PERMIT to use a portion of the buildings for an automotive repair business.
 
Members in attendance:  R. Spakauskas, S. Annunziata, R. Fraser, F. Lonardo,  and J. Deignan.

 

 The Chairman called the hearing to order.  The secretary read the application and findings of fact.  Attorney Brian Forts, representing the applicant, addressed the Board. He explained that Mr. Stacy would like to open an auto repair business only, no gas or fuel services will be provided.  He distrib­uted a plan to the Board indicating the location.  Any vehicles left overnight will not be seen from Main Street.  The front of the building will be office space.

 

 F. Lonardo asked about the number of mechanics that would be employed.  It was answered probably two or three.  F. Lonardo also asked about the facilities that will be provided for waste and tires.  Atty. Forts said yes, in the back of the building which is also fenced in.

 

 S. Annunziata asked about signage.  Atty. Forts said there would be a ladder sign in accordance with the bylaw.

 

 Atty. Forts made a summation in which is thought this would be an appropriate business for that area.

 

 Since there were no further comments or questions, the public hearing was closed at 7:40 p.m.

 

 The Board voted 5-0 to approve the Special Permit with the following conditions:  1)  No more than twenty (20) cars will be housed overnight and 2)  Outside hours of operation will be 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
